Sunk costs

Periodically, I lose one of the dog’s balls in the park. My initial frustration has given way to an acceptance of the inevitability, and now I view each purchase as a sunk cost.

I reached a stage where I was incurring too many sunk costs from planning to attend events too far ahead; often when it came to them, I wasn’t able or willing to go to. I changed how I schedule my time, and now accept the inevitability of a certain amount of sunk cost offset against the rewards.

We all deal with a certain number of sunk costs. How are yours making you feel?
